Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984,in White Plains, New York from a family of Jewish heritage.
Mark Zuckerberg attended Harvard University where he studied psychology and computer science. He wrote a sort of section program he called CourseMatch, which helped students to form study groups.
While at Harvard, Mark Zuckerberg co-founded Facebook, an internet based social network.
The website was originally and briefly called Facemash. Perhaps he created the site as a type of “hot or not” game for Harvard students, where website visitors could compare two student photos side-by-side and let viewers decide who was “hot” and who was “not”. He entered into Harvard’s security network and copied the student ID images to populate his Facemash website.
Facemash closed after few days and Mark faced expulsion from Harvard University for his actions. However, all charges were dropped.

On February 4, 2004, Mark Zuckerberg relaunched with a new website “Thefacebook”, at first restricted to Harvard College students, then, together to his team, he expanded the site to additional universities and colleges.

In 2004, an angel investor, Sean Parker became the company’s president. The company changed the name from TheFacebook to just Facebook.
Profits from Facebook made Mark Zuckerberg the world’s youngest multi-billionaire.
He was named “Man of the Year” by Time magazine in 2010. Zuckerberg currently is the chief executive and president of Facebook.
